I met up with DirtAngler after work tonight to hunt a private property he obtained permission for in late August. We hunted for two hours and I honestly left more targets in the ground than I dug....and that's saying something when you dig 87 coins in two hours. DirtAngler has hunted this site several times a week since the first week in September and you still can't take two steps without hitting a coin signal.........amazing!

My count for the hunt was: 2 clad quarters, 34 clad dimes, 37 memorial pennies, 8 wheat pennies, 2 Jefferson nickels, 1 Buffalo nickel, 3 Mercury dimes and 1 silver ring. I don't know if I could hunt this site for more than 3 or 4 hours at one time...........knees might not take it!

The group photo and the goodies:

Thanks again for the invite Terry......that was fun!!

Awesome! You guys are in a Hot Spot for coins! Way To Go! :icon_thumright:

Heavens to mercatroid, that's 2 hours well invested.

Like I said Dave, anytime. As long as they allow me to keep hunting it, the place will produce, as you are well aware of. And who know what the rest of the property holds.

Nice... Hit that place hard...

WOW Nice hunt !
Odd on the lack of quarters. must have been the first thing to go

Nice haul!!

Jeff, I been hitting it with different guys and you're right, not 1 silver quarter yet. Plenty of clad quarters though. Also, we're in a pool area and found about 8 silver rings so far but no gold rings yet. There's got to be some and that was part of the deal in gaining permission, to split gold jewelry finds. I just think they're masked by all the clad yet.

Yes The weaker deeper signals won't show up till you clean out all the loud shallow stuff.

I'm thinking about hitting a defunct pool site today

weather may go down hill after this week, & I still haven't found gold here.
biggest problem is the long drive. with gas costing 3.55 a gallon
I hate to spend it

I've had great luck with places like that!! Defunct places are a lot of fun and no one is there to annoy you every few minutes. A few nice finds can pay for gas and lunch.
