Hi all,
Maybe I will reach or exceed last years total of 47 silver.... Was at 34, but today I hit it big at a brand new spot I tried. 5 Hour hunt yielded 7 silver -- 4 Silver Washingtons (38, 60D, 61 D, 64 D), 2 dimes (1945 Merc, 1951-D Rosie), and a 1942 S silver nickel. My previous best day in terms of sheer number of silver was 4 or maybe 5, so this tops that
I also managed 6 Wheat pennies ('11, 36, 45, 45D, 58 d) and a no date that under the loop (I mean the coin is smooth!) seems like there might be a ghost 11 I see, so maybe another '11.
Day started out quick, with a deep pocket spill (coins were between 8-10 inches) yielding 2 quarters, 2 wheat, and 1 dime! That was within probably the first 20 minutes. Then silver continued at a slow flow. Last hour nothing. I remember hitting my 6th silver, cuz it marked #40 for the year (the war nickel). #41 was the Merc.
Let's see if I cant get up to at least 47 b4 year-end...
