I finally got my first box today and learned a few things

someone uses a black mark across the chin

someone uses a purple mark on the ear

someone uses a really nice sapphire blue on the nose

about half of the box was marked, but I filled 9 holes in my books.

no silver, but I got a 1987D .... with a purple mark on it. Does anyone know how to get that off with damaging the coin?
It was fun going through the coins, seeing the years and the quality of some of the coins. At least I got one not meant for circulation. Not the success of some of y'all out there, but I'll try another box. I would really love to show my wife there is silver in these boxes & a nice walking liberty would be great for me ... it's a beautiful coin.

Thank you for reading and offering help.

I would try alcohol or acetone. If my memory serves me right alcohol will remove sharpie marks. Acetone is good for removing organic crud from coins.

Good job on the 87

I have used naptha (lighter fluid or camp fuel) to remove magic marker from non porous surfaces.
