MXT update...

Have the Ace 250 and the Mxt both very good units. The Ace locks on nickels like no other machine ive ever seen. Its also a better coin shooter than the Mxt becuase of the lower frequency. Depth is good on both machines. The Ace is lighter on the arm. The Mxt has more progrmas salt prospecting relic . The mxt finds more nickels than the Ace . Both are pretty good on gold. Cant go wrong with eighter machine. In theory the higher frequency of the Mxt should make it better for gold but not in the Aces point. The Ace does just fine with gold and silver and coins. Both fun and good machines.

So now I have a few more weeks under my belt now, and I think I'm getting better, I went back to the same park by my house and basically went back over the same places that MDed b 4 and I did find some more clad, moving slower then I did before and not getting in a hurry, the first day I went back was Sat, for 1 hour I hit
4 quarters
5 dimes
2 nickels
6 pennies
1 fork
one watch (nothing special)
and lots of foil, still looking for gold
On sunday I went back and spent just over 2 hours and hit
5 quarters
10 dimes
5 nickels one is dated 1961
10 pennies
so all in all I'm getting it, its just taking me some time, I know the VDI numbers are the key to this, I watch them close now and if anything I question now I dig,
every nickel I have found has been from 16 to 20 nothing past 20 and when its a 16 its deeper then normal,
I'm still looking for that first gold ring, coin, gold something, I also got the MTX EDGE book and have been reading it over and over, its pretty helpful

The book will help allot. I wish it had been available when I got my MXT. Keep at it and soon it will be hard to use another detector because you will come to trust that MXT so much.
