It's a fantastic machine. I didn't realize just how good it was until I used supposedly higher end machines.
It's pretty easy to learn, VERY fast, deep, built like brick dung house, lots of coils available, legendary Whites customer service. Whats not to like?
I've never used it on a salt water beach but I'm guessing it wouldn't work real well in that environment being a single freq machine.

Western & Eastern Treasures magazine has a great article about the MXT Pro in the May issue. I don't recommend the MXT for any wet saltwater sand as it will be unstable unless you seriously cut back the Sensitivity. I once had a friend that wouldn't buy the magazine because he sad it cut down on his profits. So sad....:violent1:

Excellent choice!

Love my MXT PRO. I use the 10x12 SEF coil and have gone back to some heavily hunted sites and find much more stuff that I missed earlier. Never been to the beach with it though and would love to know how it does. I mainly hunt relics and it is a great relic machine. If you are going to hunt coins with it you will have to swing much slower to hear those deep signals. I have dug indian head pennies 12" deep.
