MXT finds more GOLD!!!

CAgem found a great little spot for us to hunt. It was just a small yard but had lots of potential. There were quarters everywhere, which I don't mind finding but I am still a "silver virgin" so that's what I was after. After digging a bit of clad I got a solid nickel reading. I only had to dig about an inch and a half and pulled out a nickel alright, a really old one. I was happy but I still wanted silver. I kept hunting and pulling out clad then got another nickel reading but it was kind of a broken tone. I dug anyway because Mona Lisa always tells me to dig everything. And wouldn't you know it, that dang woman is always right. I will never sass her again. I found a gold chain bracelet. It is only 10K but it's a good size chain. :tongue3: ;D So for now, I am still a "silver virgin" but I am mighty happy with the gold. ;D

Maybe you'll bypass your first dug silve coin and go straight to a dug gold coin !!!

Very nice find, silver should be there soon. I hunted with Mona Lisa lots of times, she knows her stuff. She is very, very good at finding large cents. She is on the beaches in NC this week, I hope the bad weather allowed her some time to hunt, I loaned her my scoop. Can't wait to get her report.
 

Dude, I would be more excited about the shield nickel that the gold. I have found lot's of buffalo nickels, V nickels and silver but I have yet to find a shild nickel. But I guess I'd take the gold too. ;D ;D Some great finds.

Lisa told me about that sand scoop. She said it weighed a ton. LOL ;D

Atta girl Peachy!!!!!!!!!! you may be a silver virgin , but I am a gold virgin and I would rather find gold! That nickle is real cool too, I wish I could give ya a magic wand to make it all pretty and new but it gives ya insentive to get back out there and get more!

Cool old nickel. I too found gold (18k ring) before I got my first silver coin. :thumbsup:
But just a few hunts later I found a 1937 Merc.
Keep looking, the silver is out there!!! :thumbsup:
