Weird, my pinpoint started out loud then went silent if I didn't hurry like there was a timer on it. I had to start over almost every time. In beach mode the volume would turn itself up and down.

What I found, with my recently updated MXS, is that the pinpoint volume is noticeably less than the regular hunting mode volume.. UNLESS I have the sensitivity on max, and then there's no difference. Soon as I bump the sensitivity down, the PP volume becomes somewhat muted. Irritating, but not a deal breaker for me.
