The waterproof headphones I ordered arrived. They are built on the ProStar platform, but are really quite different. The ear cups are large, fit over the ears and snuggly against your head. At first I wasn't sure I liked the snug fit but after only a few minutes I realize that they were blocking almost all outside noise. To me this is a plus because my other waterproof detector headphones allow outside noise especially on windy days. The snug fit on the MX Sport waterproof headphones will hopefully eliminate that problem.
I also found the sound quality very good and actually had to adjust the threshold and target volume down. I'm sure cleaning the detector after use will be much easier as I plan on putting the whole thing in the shower from now on.
Too soon to be absolutely sure, but my first impression is that these headphones are going to be an upgrade from the ProStar headphones I've been using.
Thanks for looking! H Digs
