Musket ball field

I went to a new field today just for a look... It is a very small field, about 80 x30 metres but it had lots of targets for such a small area. I got a lot of musket balls from different calibers, round and mini balls. Some coins and two religious pendants, a bicycle token from "Sophia Jacoba" a coal mine in my town, my favorite for today! The mine was closed in the 90s after 80 years. Both my father and my grandpa worked there. Some coins from the 1800s and one big beauty, not identified yet. Very large copper with beautiful patina. Had a little silver ring too.

Those are beautiful finds. BTW do you realize that the tiny shoe buckle you have there is around 1660-1720? I found one exactly like it that is silver. That is a great buckle you have there congrats on the finds.

Thanks! A silver one would made my day. I have some more out of a wooded stripe along these fields, but never hit silver. They are scarce where i live....

They are very very scarce where I live too. If you would like to see a picture just let me know. I'd be happy to show you. I posted the find a few years ago on this forum. It was a feature article in lost treasure magazine online a few years ago, just a fun hunt me all alone out there.
