this is a long shot but here goes ...
i'm interested in finding documentation concerning musical instruments which were introduced into the new world from spain in the 16th. cent..
in an article i read recently, a vihuela was mentioned in a customs declaration from puerto rico, dated 1512.
assuming that treasure seekers might also have an interest in this sort of documentation (customs declarations, ship's manifests, etc..) i was wondering if anyone would be able to direct me to an on-line source for this information.
