MuscleCars all the way

My first car was a 1961 Pontiac Catalina, but my first new car was a 1967 Chevelle SS396. Had everything I ever wanted (at that age). It was a coupe, had dual exhausts, black bucket seats, 4 on the floor. Came with 325 HP and a Rochester Quadrajet Carb. I paid $3559 at the end of the year. I remember that the dealer wouldn't come down on his price. A lot of money for a 22 year old kid just out of the Navy.

Sure do miss that car.

Great car ! I broke my knee cap in high school and my parents would not let me drive, and my friend had a 67 Chevelle just like this picture, red with black vinyl top, 396 with that great sounding Muncie Rock Crusher transmission. He would let me drive it during our high school lunch hours. Yeah, that clutch was stiff, but well worth the effort and pain.
I mainly had Fords and Chevys, but I was ALWAYS mesmerized by the sound of those 440 MOPARS !

Lol, nope-- in the backyard it sits, along with my 98 323is BMW that needs a motor

Let’s see if I can rejuvenate this thread as I have been away so long. Here’s a recent pic of the Cuda with my buddy’s rare 71 Superbee
