HI GUYS AD GALS

Made it out this morning and tonight...hunted 4.5 hrs total.

Tried out another spot...ughhhhhhhh.....was it ever muddy...I was a mess. Good part was ....ED took his truck !!!

Hit the blank copper as soon as I got there...then wet cold for a bit...so moved down the beach some and the mud was even worse. So back I went..Couldn,t find anything on the dry part of the beach so ventured into the muck again .

By the time I got done it was freaking awful...black slim and stinky to boot..but was lotsa targets....some good, some bad.

Not sure exactly what I got !!!

But some of it looks very interesting. Would appreiate any help you guys can give me to figure out what some of these things are.

Good shape on the Starr & Shannon HP token, breton # 884
Smal silver is for sure British 3 pence
Button with a stub on it looks like a hand saw thingy.
Gold colored thing "appears" to me as a sample pill box, have a few different ones.
And looks like a piece of silver spoon handle.

TY RICK..

The spoon handle...has a crown on it..is that normal ?

Thought I had something good ..lol.

Now that's an impressive array of goodies, AQUA! so I think it was worth hunting in the stinky mud.

ty relicmeister

Was fun but horrible stuff to work in....think will change locations tomo.

Nice scores !

"normal" well depending on location, or maker etc.
Crown indicates Sheffield as location.
The rest of the symbols will tell the maker, and letters can date it. the "R" in a square could be 1859 or 1884, but I'm no expert, and can't see it that well, The "style" of the lettter makes a difference.

You two are hard core mudders, cold too, nothing worse then wet and cold. How the heck do you manage not to get frost bit hands, neoprene gloves?
Nice finds, looks like allot of gilt and some very old coinage.

Nice Finds ... I'm looking forward to getting Muddy from head to Toe and possibly braking another shovel today before the Rain comes back later today in N.Y. /// Thats Kewl You got a Nova Token being from that area ...Congrats on Your Finds ...

You guys definitely have a knack for finding the good beaches!

Sniffed out a decent one ...having lotsa time to go almost everyday helps..but fishing season starts for me before too long.

But such a mess to work in ..just awful....but better than digging on a good dry beach for nothing I guess.!!

ty for looking...PARKPIRATE AND IFOUNDIT69

WATER PROOF lined gloves but hands still get cold. Lined insulated pants and boots.

Long winter boredom and a great way to get outta the house..... go nuts sitting around staring at the walls.

The R is not from a date code
The WR with crown is the cypher of William lV of England 1830-1837

Can you explain further ? ...remember--I,m a newb..but I want to learn !

The button that is 2 above the saw nut looks like 3rd regiment with a crown above it....maybe a very early 1800's button...

Its not a hallmark because its not silver but as stated, this pewter mark just denotes that it was made in the regein of William IV.

The other item is correctly IDed as a Saw Medallion.

it clearly has a WR with a crown, William lV
patent, most likely made during his reign

appears to be a pewter spoon handle, possible the maker may have had an affiliation to the royals or was a maker for them, or it was simply a design device that was used make them look as if they had importance to the king or to help sell their wares by making it look like it was "fit for a king"
