Greetings all! My family and I are permanently relocating from Sacramento (Actually Orangevale, CA) to Parkersburg, WV in mid-October 2014. I was born and raised in Parkersburg and have lived here in the Sacramento region since 1994. I'm returning home and will be looking for MD'ers in the Parkersburg area. Currently, I'm running a White's MXT and a Minelab E-Trac. I also own a Goldmaster GM3 and a Classic ID SL.

Wel-come aboard and safe travels back home ... :occasion14:

Welcome Aboard! Take a look at Sub-Forums: West Virginia for information (i.e., clubs, etc.) directly related to your state.

Hello Faro!! I am about 1.5 hour drive from Parkersburg in Fairmont. Took my first trip to P'burg last Monday to visit their Woodcraft store.

Be safe in your travels!

We have safely arrived and are currently living in a nicely renovated home on historic Quincy Hill (Formerly known as Prospect Hill). Still unpacking boxes and moving things. Haven't had any time to go metal detecting. My neighbor directly across the street owns a metal detector and has spent quite a bit of time in the neighborhood, should be fun.

Can't wait to get out with my detectors!!!!!

First day out with the metal detectors...detecting my own yard, front and back. Home built around 1910. From what I understand talking with neighbors, original owner was a doctor. Kinda did a "Cherry Pick" first time through...found a hand-full of clad coins (pennies, dime and a quarter but nothing older than about 20 to 30 years), some sort of metal pin (shaped like a military name tag) and an interesting little "Capital Building" metal doo dad....I'll post up pics of what I've found. Nothing super old from what I can tell. I'm sure I'll switch out coils, try different settings, slow down and really pick the yard apart. Interesting enough to believe this yard hasn't been hit before. Homes on this street are all early 1900. Stay Tooned!!! :)
