The letters on this item are ?? S ENHART with NY below. could it be from a trumpet or something like that? I don't think it's a candle stick holder. The lower ring looks like it used to slide and has some type of attachment points on either side of it? In the bell end there is still some of the silver plate left. Also the bottom of the bell end is about the size of a quarter. Thanks HH

a while back I disputed with Aqua chigger on these (I think I ran him off...unfortunatly..I hope not)I said they were parts of a candlestick....I have since looked further into it,and while I am not fully convinced I see how the possibility is totally plausible...Beu,If you read this I will publically say,"I very well was likely wrong"

Looks like a trumpet/coronet, possible French horn mouth piece to me.

Could the ?? S ENHART be a town or the maker? Kruger, the socket or inside shoulder is not deep enough to hold a candle? HH

Even though it looks more like a candlestick holder, I think this might be your guy:

Hey kuger... No worries. You didn't run me off. I've just been doing my own thing on FB and YouTube for a while. That coupled with digging season doesn't leave me much time elsewhere.
