Mother nature say's "It's over Boot" So here's the rundown for 2007
Hello T'Netter's,The ground is now snowcovered and mother nature's got the goodies all locked up till spring so here's the rundown on my best year ever!!!First off is I had my most productive year ever for silver coinage,58 pieces, way better than last years 11.Second,I had three firsts this year,a Flying Eagle cent,a seated liberty half, and a gold coin all of which have been on my to find list for twenty-six years now!!!I also tied my old record of three silver halves in one year.I also made the banner and the best of T'Net for my 1853 Deriberpie California octagonal $1 gold coin!!!I was so psyched!!!I also found 8 sterling rings and two sterling pendants all with pentagrams on them and all within 1-1/2' of each other on a small island beach, kinda creepy but I found my gold coin about a month later so possibly good luck. Also 5 other sterling rings and a gold pendant from NE telephone +telegraph.Last but not least was a 1905 Maine porcelain license plate which I quickly listed and sold on EBay for $455!!!That was my third most valuable find to date.I don't keep track of clad and mem's but it was somewhere upwards of $60 face value.Of course there were countless wheats IHP's and 2 no date LC's an 1896 Brit LC now in the possesion of Mountainplayer and a highly corroded 1865 2 center many buff's and you get the idea.I can only hope that 2008 is as productive as 2007 but time will tell.My winter research has begun and I have already found no less than three defunct fairgrounds with horsetracks and a ca.1760 tavern site now just a foundation in the woods so '08 could prove to be as good as '07!!! Well,it's been a great year and I'm looking forward to the next so good luck to all who can still hunt and I'll be lurking and reading and drooling and chomping at the bit till mother nature unlocks next years treasure box!!! HH, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Bootstrap
