Spent a few hours at the creek today enjoying the 65 degree weather, tomorrow we have a snow advisory! Found quite a bit, just posting a few for now. My husband found an awesome thumbnail scraper. Not sure if you can see the detail in these, may have to use the good camera in natural light. Anyway, the flaking is beautiful and one side seems to be beveled, but I couldn't get a good pic of it. The odd colored pic of it was under a magnifying glass.

He also found this. Again, beautiful flaking. Any idea what it could be? Surprised the tip wasn't broke!

I found this one. Looks better in person. Scraper? Has rounded bottom.

A few scrapers.

Broken square knife?

Some type of tool. Can't tell if the pic picked up the edge detail, but it is worked.

A knife or chopper? Also another tool of some sort.

This looks like it was started, but never finished.

Wow you had a very good day that creek is loaded !!!!! That is a sweet little scraper ;)

Dang Im drooling over here. I hope the weather stays good for 1 more day. I got the itch to go, lol.

If the creek empties into a larger controlled flow system that is the end that will be slimy. You just have to go upstream till you find the clean section. Too bad though cause where they connect is always the best place to hunt.

I've noticed that there is a green algae that grows very fast in the winter time in 1 months it can cover the rocks under water

well you sure have a beautiful piece in the first three images.......absolutely a gorgeous little gumdrop made from pretty material....kinda reminds me of a turtle

my idea for the piece you are showing in images 4 & 5 is that you have a very nice side scraper complete with a nice graver spur
i might be wrong on my idea but just sayin' anyways

#6 is a point isnt it?

I think?? Very strange piece. It also has a rounded base, but thicker. I'll try to take better pix today. It has this inclusion that was worked around.

Id like to see it. Both sides would be great. So its about 2.75 inches long

...those are very pretty...almost thought the first pic was obsidian. Thanks for sharing your super find!

Hands are not steady today, so excuse the blur. It measure 1 3/4" in length. Thinner at point, thicker at base. They worked around the brown area near the base. Has pressure flaking all the way around.

Its made from a large flake. You can see the striking platform where it was hit. Its probably going to be a knife but put it on the end of a long stick and its now a spear tip. You know what I mean. Very nice material on it.
