I got out for about 2 hours this morning, and went to an old church site that I've hit quite a few times now.
After finding a few clad coins, I hit on this 1864 2-cent coin, at about 6 inches deep. I knew what it was immediately, when I looked at it. This is now my 4th 2-center in just a few months.
(I gave it a few peroxide baths before I took the photos.)
About 2 minutes later I hit the Merc at only about 5 inches deep.
Although the date is pretty worn on the 2-Center, it's in pretty good shape.
Thanks for lookin.
TBK..

Nice 2 center BK.....That's one of the odd denomination's coin that I haven't actually dug yet.Congrat's to Ya! I'll trade you a 1 center of your choice for the other one ;D Nice!!!!

Great finds, I just found my first 2 cent piece yesterday, and as of today it is my favorite looking coin, not worth the most by far, but very pretty coin.

I can't believe how easily you are running across the 2 cent coins. It is definitely a coin which is high on my want list. Keep up the good work.
