Relic Hunting
We hunted the Tennessee U.S. Williams Cleaner camp a few more times before New Year’s Day. The site still continues to produce enough relics to keep us going back. In fact, I dug some more dropped cleaner bullets there this afternoon (Jan. 3). Doug & I were pleased to recover some dropped .50 cal. Smith Carbine bullets from the west picket position as shown in the pic with the blue background. CW Relic #500 of 2013 for me was the cuff size Eagle GS button with intact shank shown on my glove that I dug on Dec. 30.
To date, the Trio has recovered well over 300 relics from the site. Oddly enough, 82 of the 186 relics that I have personally dug there have been either complete Williams Cleaner bullets, tops of cleaners, or the inserts (44% are cleaner related). Enjoy the short video that shows my countdown to 500 relics, campfire lead that we have had to dig, iron horse/mule related relics, & WW2 manuevers relics. HH from Doug & Quindy (Josh was in AZ hunting gold mines during Christmas-LOL.

All of you are making fun of me and that's all right. I taught Michael Jackson how to moonwalk when he was a kid and it was just the Jackson 3. As far as my green golf shirt and "ugly" tie, the Smithsonian wants to put them on display. The display will read," The most interesting relic hunter in the world". Now put that in your pipe and smoke it you jealous so and so's. LOL

"Most interesting relic hunter in the world", will you please say "Stay thirsty, my friends" in the next video?

Great looking relics! That is a crazy amount of Williams cleaners dug in one area! Congrats to 500 CW relics for 2013 and I hope 2014 is a great year for the Trio as well.

That was fantastic. Congratulations to you Quindy on the big 500 and it was an Eagle cuff to boot. The trio had a banner year. The videos are always a pleasure to watch. That is a song I can relate to for sure living on that Tennessee River. Spent the day in the mtns go figure . Thanks for taking us along for the ride.
Happy Hunting

Thanks Richard. Maybe we can hunt together in 2014, Q.
Richard (Old Stonewall), Thanks for your help in teaching me how to make videos my friend. Q.
Matt, it does take a lot of walking & our part of Tennessee does not have the sites like VA but we're trying. HH, Q.
Thanks MSBB, F2, & Dave. HH in 2014 to you guys.
JB, the melted lead reads much less than the bullets especially if they are small pieces. If you don't dig the low number signals (less than 6), you'll miss the small pistol balls in some cases. HH in 2014 Bud, Q.
