More field finds-Seated,Large coppas, Fattys,& some lesser Indians

Greetings friends.
It is a wet spring here and the planting is delayed so I get more time to pound some field sites.
These are from some old sites and a couple of new ones. The 1806 British penny is the largest
[31mm] and second oldest I have found. I found the seated dimes 20 feet apart in a muddy field.
The Blake Parkin XLent Sheffield item is I think a fastener from a saw, It has a 3/4 inch stud out from the back. Blake & Parkin manufactured saws and files at Sheffield England in 1851.
Thanks for looking best luck to all.

Very nice Merf, do you mind emailing me a pic of that bridge from the side? I'm an engineer in the Army and have built many bridges and I would really like some shots of that one. it's very unique looking, thanks. [email protected]

Thanks STH-----When I get back down to that area I will take some pics and send you some.
Might be a while as it is a bit of a drive.

Do you ever find any of the 34MM 1oz cartwheels?

Man what a great site you have. What a beautiful old bridge, looks like it dates to the Civil War era. I'd be taking pics of that bridge from every angle, it belongs in a book. As for the finds, what more could you ask for. Lot of silver, lots of copper, and a big british copper!. Very well done.

James.

Thanks James------The site dates back to the mid 1800s.
The owner had 333 acres. A huge farm back in those days.

Thanks Tom, Those large coppas were unreadable when I dug them.
I tumble about 90% of the large coppers that I find.
The British penny took 90 minutes with a little vinegar to bring out the detail.

This is my kind of post!

The finds are all top notch, the photos are fantastic, and the assortment presentation is beautiful. I love the photo of the old bridge.

The brass pot handle is a cool find (last photo). I have only found one of them so far, and mine was from a plowed field as well. It was a killer signal and I was expecting...anything besides a brass pot handle :D

Those seated dimes wonderful.

Great Hunting, my friend. The fields here are delayed to to rain too.

Regards,
