My hunting partner and I spent some time this week at a spot we found last month and had some pretty good results. The two bullet photos are of my finds. He found bullets as well as a cut piece of Spanish Silver and a button that resembles some type of South Carolina???We would love to know more about the silver and the button. Thanks for any info.--JB

Nice hunt. Lead gets boring after a while, so nice to get some silver and the button. The cut silver is a quarter cut from a 2 reale pistareen, King Phillip V, Probably dates around 171X - 173X. The button does appear to be a palmetto, but could also be flower button. A picture of the back would help.

Phillip III.....??

Phillip III.....??
Phillip III is much too early for this coin.
Philip V (Spanish:
Felipe ; 19 December 1683 – 9 July 1746) was King of Spain

from 1 November 1700 to 14 January 1724, and again from 6 September 1724 to his death in 1746.

Very nice indeed!

Nice going on the lead, button and that especially nice cut piece of silver. Congrats.
Liking the rum on the one side, I wonder how many rum it would bought.

Nice bullet haul. Love that cut silver...congrats!

Well Done on the Saved of the button, the CW lead, and the cut silver. Y'all are onto a nice spot.

Thanks Steve for the silver info. My buddy found an 1832 Nova Scotia Half Cent early in our hunt, which was his oldest coin find ever and then followed it up with the early 1700's silver...he was pumped.
I'm including a photo of the palmetto button back. Thanks again.--JB

Nice big lineup of bullets and of course that silver and button are icing on the cake...

Good spot. I am happy if I am just digging bullets but then I am not hard to please. Sure looks like a Palmetto button.
