More Buckles, belt plate, and LC

got in a two hour hunt and found couple more relics.
Found 2 nice shoe buckles. Big one about size of half dollar.
One was silver plated and about size of quarter. Also a belt
plate looks pretty old. And a half penny or farthing. And a button.

Belt plate - back & front

This LC looks like a 1720's(ish) half-penny or farthing
but it's patina city. Still soaking. I can see the bust but
camera shot not that good.

Awesome stuff! I'd sure like to see a picture of all the stuff you've ever found, Ocean7. Although it may be more like 20 or 25 pictures! Good job! I wish I could've gotten out this week to go MD'ing, but I've got finals all week. This is how I've looked every day in class: I guess that's what happens when you're supposed to be thinking about the subject at hand, and all you can think about is MD'ing. Should get to go next week...

Nice going O7. That belt plate looks interesting. Any chance of cleaning it up any. We have 5 inches of snow on the ground in northern Vermont, so I thought I would not be doing any more metal detecting this year. Just got a call from my neighbor who's wife was planting her bulbs in flower pots for next spring. Turns out she lost her ring in one of about 50 pots. I will be over there in the AM metal detecting in their garage in flower pots. How is that for hard up hunting....Lance

I sure would like to get out and find some nice stuff like you have, but it's Deer Hunting season around here, and we have had two people shot. Just yesterday a man got killed while hunting about 3 miles from where I live. Maybe on Sunday when they can't hunt.
