Well, Mastereagle and I left work Monday night to hit a house we had recently been granted permission to detect. This house is old, and had a small yard. We drove into town and spotted a different house that was huge and received permission to hunt there. We intended to hunt the big house and then move on to the one we had intended to hunt.
Mastereagle ran through the entire yard in under 10 minutes and boldly declared that there was a lot of trash and we "shouldn't spend too long in there". This house was a two story Victorian that was built around 1900. It had been detected before, but we are used to that. There is always something left. Well, Mastereagle found a Barber(!) and I found a ton of hot wheels and pennies
We moved on to the smaller house and hit it for about an hour or so. I walked into the middle of the yard and had a great silver signal that boomed in my headphones...one of those you just have to dig! I was rewarded with a beautiful 1964 Quarter.
I worked my way around the yard and managed a few wheats. They were 1941, 1942 and 1942D.
I rounded the side of the house and got a sound that almost knocked off my headphones. More Silver Baby!

The next night we went back to the 1900's building that we hunted about 4 times. This time the property owner told us he had secured us permission to hunt the old property next door.
We got about 45 minutes before rain chased us out. Even though we weren't in there long, I did manage a few things.

A 1959 Silver Rosie
And this super cool ring. Anyone able to tell me anything about it? I think it looks EXACTLY like the face Mastereagle makes when he can't go detecting with me.
It says Hong Kong inside...but I have a feeling it is older than you might think.
