Re: Mona Lisa

Hello Mona, nice name, nice pictures, nice family.
Hope you have some family members search with you.

Unlike you, if I wait until my one thousand post, it will probably be another ten years or more, I post in spurts, LOL.

When in school I read a library book about a couple of young brothers and their mom, which sold their place in Portland or the Seattle area, forget which, in search of warmer climate for diving purposes. They were doing fairly good diving for sunken logs in the area they lived near, but opted to sell out, and seek new pleasures, and adventures in warmer settings. They sold their work barge, purchased a schooner and sailed to Florida from washington, or Portland forget which, as a home base of operations.

On into the story, and adventure from home base, there was a young girl that sailed with them in search of that alluring, magical attraction that once bitten cannot be shaken, to the Carribean, the Mona passage in search of sunken treasure, and what was so impelling, and unique about the story was that the young girl that sailed on the adventure with them also was named the same unique name, Mona.

It was quiet an adventure and was tremendously addictive of whetting one's appetite for buried, or sunken treasure. I wish I could remember the name of that book, like to curl up on the couch once again, and become absorbed by the mystery, suspense, romance, and pleasure that radiates from becoming transported in time and place by such a mystery that permeates the mind by becoming one with the characters involved just by reading of the happiness, joy, and success they shared together in the greatest adventure of a lifetime.

It's author makes it seem so real that you can almost smell the salt air, taste the morning coffee, feel, and hear the cool ocean breezes, while listening for the soft waves lapping against the sides of your own personal schooner with a Larder full of victuals, the barrels filled with brandy, and the hold full of glittering gold, and jewels, white sails fully stretched by the wind, while lazily relaxing in a hammock, drinking cold tequila, or sarsaparilla from a beautifully uniquely designed coconut mug, the stereo softly serenading you with beautiful tropical music, heavenly bliss... Dreaming, LOL Hehe.

Hope my ramblings wasn't too boring...

It's a good read, it sure sparked my ambition to search for that ever seemingly elusive pot of gooooooold, Lol

Maybe someone might know the author or title?

A little late, but welcome to the forum Mona, pretty name.
