You wouldn't happen to be at the Penn's Colony craft show with that booth? Haven't been there in a long time, but I thought they encouraged period dress. I grew up in the French & Indian war time period, because my dad was commander of a reenactment group. Kinda miss the knickers...

Yep, I was there, Ratracer, for four or five years.

I decided to cut back on the craft shows when my two oldest boys were teenagers and couldn't wait for mom and dad to leave town every weekend. Alot of suspicious activity was happening at our house on those weekends.

Here's a picture of the kids' first year at Penn's Colony. My three kids and my nephews.....they were acting up in the picture. I sewed nine outfits that year. Those were the good old days.

Ha ha ha ha ha ha.......Pictures sure are deceiving aren't they? No, really they're a great bunch of kids.....all in college now. My daughter, the youngest, is a senior in high school.

Nice to meet you Mona Lisa. Very nice family as well. Love those style clothes...love that period of time....and you did a wonderful job making those clothes too!!!!

As for the Statue of Liberty, last time I went home (Nov 2004)...you could still go inside the Statue, but it was basically appts, first come, first serve and after the limit was reached, no one else could go in for the day. We had just missed it by about 10 mins...UGH!!!!!! We got to go on the island, which the boys still enjoyed, but I have not been in the Statue since 1975, when I took a shipmate home to show her NYC (she was from Wisconsin). Infact, they still had King Kong at the Empire State Bldg (1975) ...we got our pic with that big hunka hunka furry man!!! LOL
