Re: Mona Lisa & Montana Jim - Trippin Across Montana (Picture Heavy)

Great pictures, there is nothing like the American West....

Where were you at, some of the pictures look like the area near Glacier National Park?

A few of those pics were in Glacier... some others on the prairie... the kayak trip was on the Missouri River in the canyon area north of Wolf Creek.

I thought a couple looked like Glacier, pictures 5-9 looks like Glacier, 5 and 9 maybe Lake McDonald.

Glacier is a beautiful area..... One year I went and spent 2 weeks camping in Yellowstone, then drove to Glacier for another week of camping.. Had a full size custom van so camping was easy, pull in, turn off key...your camped.....

I know you had a great time..................

The pictures don't do it justice. The scenery of Montana is breathtaking.

Jim was an awesome tour guide....full of stories about the history..... of the places we visited and about the people who lived there. :notworthy:

I live in Great Falls. I've been to the Crazies... man they are awesome. The story is told those mountains were named after the "crazy woman" who lived there - and used to be called the "Crazy Women" mountains. LOL (Her story is kinda told in the movie Jerimiah Johnson).

thanks for sharing the beautiful country you live in Jim, and you got to share it with someone special too. I enjoyed cruising through it myself heading north recently. The picture of momma deer showing you all her babies is awesome. Everyone should see Montana and her gifts.

Zillion replies already but can't help myself. Those are some great pictures :icon_sunny: Just makes you wanna get off your a$$ and do some living. My wife and her sister are heading to Butte in about a week and a half to visit our nephew and hopefully bring back some elk. They both like to gem hunt. Anyone have any good suggestions??? Any must see suggestions?? I will show these pics to my wife and she'll will be even more pumped than she is already to head out there.

Thanks for the pics Jim
