Using Mixed Mode on the DFX, is actually like using pin point along with discriminate. By using VCO on and sweep speed of 1 you can find most everything in the ground. Here are some of the settings that I use in farm fields.
Ac 72-75
Dc 45-55
Modulation off
Ground Filter 3
Acc 8 --94
Rej -95 -7 --- 95
Preamp Gain 3 or 4
Using these settings can get noisy and it can make it hard detecting near another detector. I remove a lot of scrap metal from fields, that way I have a lot less masking of targets.
