Great digs there ED!!! That largie is a BEAUT AND a shield to go with it feels good I bet. Were you usin the T2? I'm hopin to get one this year and get sum of that DEEP stuff.. CONGRATS.. HH

Actually, I have been using the AT Pro because of all the mud from the melting snow. My T2 SE doesn't like deep mud. Don't want to chance getting it wet/muddy.

Very well done, Cuz. Not sure what are better, the finds or the cleanings. I would display those proudly.

Love the large cent! The cannister shot is a great find also, should be more in the area. I like how you can still see the mold seams and sprues.

If you click on the link it give some neat info on old ordnance. There is another link on that page which will take you to an ordnance manual and everything you ever wanted to know about it.

Good finds there Ed;your balls could be grape shot; that's bigger than canister.
I think canister is smaller than golf balls; and case shot is smaller yet...
But I think you're in NE PA ???????
Not sure what grape shot would be doing up that a way.
And nice LC; them early ones are EEElusive.

I found them at a site over in NJ that is a well documented area for Revolutionary War activity.

Thanks!!! They have already been identified as grape shot.
