Today I dug up this oval piece at the 1830's property. It is some sort of silver plated metal, and is about 2" tall. The back is hollow (follows the contour of the front). Looks like a lady wearing armor and a winged helmet. Lady Mercury?
Any idea age, what this was, or who that is supposed to be on the front?
Should make a nice display piece.
Thank you,
MM

A dollar? Maybe a pack of Mike's Hard Lemonade and I'll think about it. ;D
This piece will go great with my new evening gown and Wonder Bra. :o
Sounds like you have a great sense of humor too. Glad to see that.

Very nice relic, MM! WTG on making the Banner!

You give me hope that maybe my old farm house may be harboring more than just 22 shell casings. :) Keep digging!

Winged Phrygian, right. This resembles the winged helmet worn by the goddess Roma on many Roman Republican coins of the 2nd century BC.

whoops...where'd the picture go. Anyway it was a winged helmet as worm by Roma.

It was close to the abandoned well by the circle of rocks. Remember where the old kitchen used to sit? Right there.
