In Robert Garman's book "Mystery Gold of the Superstitions," in a Chapter called "The Bushwackers," Bob mentions that he climbed Miner's Needle and looked through the hole.
Anyone know of any other description of that event? Is there video (no), pics or coorborating statements, etc...
I though it would be fun to do the same, but I don't see how he did it without climbing gear (ropes, grappling type hooks, etc..) or the ability to jump straight up 20 feet. Maybe he did have climbing gear or he somehow had a ladder up there? A friendly boost from a friend or two? Does anyone have more detail about this story?
Pic I took from the top of Miner's Needle.
