Minelab pro find pointer

I have the Minelab, and both old and new Garrett. I prefer the new Garrett Carrot and would do so even if it wasn't waterproof to a shallow depth. The ML is good, and if I could get it at a discount, I'd definitely go for it, but if buying new I'd recommend the Carrot. The depths are very close and people will argue all day about which is deeper.
fwiw, I haven't heard of the ML PPs being counterfeited yet.

note that:
1) my prejudice may be due to years with the Garrett before ML brought theirs to market; and
2) I am somewhat of a ML fanboy.

If it is at a good price I wouldn't hesitate. They work very well and are made well also.

I have the ML, Garrett Pro, and a Makro. The ML is great, I like being able to use it without sound but it doesn't vibrate as hard as the Garrett. Makro is waterproof, but the controls are a little odd to use and it isn't as deep as the other two. Buy it pronto if you get a good price on it!! I hate the loud noise from the Garrett which attracts attention to me if I'm hunting in public.

I got the ML for $80 and I made a really nice elderly man friend that tells good stories! So I think it was a win!

I had a bad experience with a brand new ML and believe me I am a Minelab fan. I had to take it back the same day I bought it and exchange it for the Garrett Pro-Pointer I had just traded in on the ML. I'm sure it was a fluke deal but I can find no fault in the Garrett pin pointers for usually less money. I have since given my old Garrett to the wife and now use the new Garrett AT which is a huge improvement in function.

Yep, that's a great deal.
