Minelab musketeer advantage?

I have been a coin hunter since the early 1970's. Over the years, I have owned lots of different machines. I bought an Advantage in late 2002 and love it. During the past few years, I have also owned the Sovereign Elite, Whites MXT, Fisher CoinStrike, ID Excel, CZ5, CZ3D, Garrett 250, Minelab Quattro and the Minelab Explorer II. Out of all of those machines, I still use the Explorer II and the Advantage. To be honest, if I could only keep one of these two, it would be the Advantage. Easy to use, excellent depth, great separation of targets, very sensitive to small targets, good discrimination capability and extremely well balanced after I moved the housing back under the arm rest. (like the Elite). I can't say enough about the Advantage. Digging coins at 10" deep is not an exageration for the Advantage. Dollar for dollar, it can't be beat. HH

1957gmc; The musketeer so impressed me, that i just ordered an Minelab Explorer II. Check out my post in "Todays finds" under (Mercs, wheats and policeman in park today) It was the first real chance i had to use the musketeer. Is 1957gmc a truck you have? I have a 1968 ply gtx. Love the classics! Thanks for your post. HH

My third and may very well be the last detector I'll ever own is the musky advantage. I love it. Its very adaptable from ice covered beaches to summer relic hunting in the woods. I've been rather mean to it running over gravel and through snow and even accidently dunked the whole thing in the water once. I quickly turned it upside down and shook it good and it still works beautifully. I've put it through its paces and Its still a great machine. I've dug quarters down to a foot deep and uncovered a jackknife at 18" inches. 13 rings in one year and lots of other jewelry. I even found the back of an earring one day and a flip flop because it had a tiny staple stuck in it. You won't be disappointed. Jason

swizzle; I agree. The performance i'm getting from the musketeer and for the price and how solid it is. Has really sold me. HH
