Detector(s) used
Deus, Deus 2, Minelab 3030, E-Trac,
Primary Interest:
Relic Hunting
I'm starting to think about thinning the herd.
So here is a detector I bought for a buddy from a buddy 11 yrs ago.
Just assembled and tested it, crazy to buy for a thought he'd be interested.

So here is what package one has.
EXPLORER XS
KOSS HEADPHONES (used twice)
PRO-FIND PIN POINTER (used one trip)
7.5" 800 COIL
10.5" coil
Screen cover
Minelab carry case new.

Question: What would this package be worth.
Some folks have asked and I don't :dontknow:
All suggestions welcomed
Thanks

Nobody has any idea?

To be honest I have never owned one of those, but I sold a few Whites DFXs and believe they would be in the same range, for about $300, Old working tech, that was top of the line 20 years ago, $250-$300 would be fair, simply because you can get a good quality new machine for a little more..
Sorry, but I don't want it.. personally. (without the pinpointer as you can sell that separately for $50-$75 depending on manufacturer)

The pinpointer is a Minelab.
Good machine in its day.
Like everything time moves on.
The small coils retail out at $300 still.

Definitely a good machine in its day, it was the competition to the Whites and Garrets and Tesoro top of the line machines of the day, (there was a time when it was on my wish list) and I love money and always like to see people get the most for their stuff, but stuff I take into consideration, 1. Maybe the coil might be worth $300, but how many people still have these machines ? How many need another coil ? Does Minelab even still service this machine ? Can you get parts if it breaks ? How long are you willing to wait to try to sell it, if time is no object then list it and price it and let us know what you finally accept, Me ? sometimes I just hate looking at old shit sitting around my house and I take what I can get and lick my wounds and move on 🤣 Just a lot of different things ... Pinpointers used to be expensive, but now you can get a chinese knockoff for $25 So that's why I said depending on model...

I'd say around $300 considering I bought a used eTrac with almost all the same accessories a couple years ago for $550 (should have kept it) and that was 2 years ago before a whole bunch of newer machines hit the market. If you got more than that on Ebay, I bet after fees you would be lucky to clear $300. To my knowledge Minelab no longer services.

Like I said the pinpointer is a Pro-Find made by Minelab.
Comparing China knock offs for any detecting equipment is apples and oranges.
The replacement price of a coil and it being an accessory coil as this, has only given it a slight bump.
Same goes for the replacement cost of the Koss headphones.

The part about hate looking at old shit so you lick your wounds and move on, I have to kind of 🤣.

This is my first time ever asking about what something is worth in my recent memory.
Now you've filled almost a couple of six packs worth.🙂

UR well ahead in the online selling market for sure. That world is not my Forte that's for sure. In the real world I have a good grasp on the buying and selling.
I just wanted a sense on what something like this package would be worth.
Heck I have a sibling interested, though the his first 2 Buffalo nickels are still farting.

Thank you for your price input.
I should of been smarter in getting the herd thinned 7+yrs ago.😁

I have an Etrac with extra coils, inline Sunray PP. Ghost headphones, cover, carrying case. That's next in going over the doormat.

Then the CTX is inclined to be sold. It hasn't been used since 2015. So it should be moved on to a new home as well.
