Factory Demo's do not have factory warranty because the year as a demo is over

Chris The reason for this is it only has a year warranty to start with, all other detectors have 3 years, therefor after the demo year is up there is still 2 years of warranty left, but no warranty left on the Excalibur. Now I'm talking factory warranty.

The factory warranty does not start until the unit leaves our location here. Just because it was a demo does not mean the warranty has started, is in effect or has expired. Minelab will honor the warranty as will Kellyco being that we have a Minelab repair center. Sometimes customers will purchase a machine and then not feel it was the right fit or unit for them etc and return it. We then cannot and will not sell it as new but it still has the warranty card to send in. So, therefore yes, this unit does have the standard Minelab warranty for the Excal

I knew in the past store demos still carried the full Minelab factory warranty when sold, I didn't know if that was still the case now or not till your post.... Thanks for the clarification. ..[emoji106]

No problem! Each situation is treated differently but our staff that handles our demos/refurbs/used equipment are always on point with this kind of stuff. I just needed further clarification before I could post and it's been pretty crazy around here as of late! So, all is well in the world of warranties lol

Chris I am a Minelab dealer and Malissa and Gary Schafer told me when the year is up as a demo there is not a factory warranty left

I am sure Kellyco will honor the warranty and they are also a authorized Minelab repair center so they can do the repairs right there......

On another note, how you doing Gold, I believe you are who I bought my first used Beach Brute scoop from about 8 years ago...[emoji106]

I cannot stress this enough. The unit has a one year warranty. The card has not been filled out and we are a Minelab repair center so once the customer purchases the unit from us we can track it in our point of sale system and know exactly when the unit was purchased and that customer WILL be issued a one year warranty on the unit. Thank you for your concern in this matter. Kellyco will back the warranty up regardless due to Minelab authorizing us to repair these units.
