I am preparing to preorder the Minelab Equinox 800 and would like to keep my money in the "family". However like many others, I would like to get the best package deal possible. I know there are quite a few sponsors on TN and would like to throw it out there. Who has the best deal? Maybe they are all the same?

Great question. All I see is pricing at List Price, and no packages so far.

I am thinking that I should stay busy with my CTX until the market settles down.

Kind of like when special edition cars come out and some people pay extra fees to get them first...

Most have it listed in the $866 range.. Not sure if there is much of a break since it is new on the market. I deal with Bart from Big Boys Hobbies and I always get a good price and he is a straight shooter. My experience has been that any vendor that sells detectors are good people. One thing about them is they know the detector and detectors are their only business.

$899.00 for the Equinox 800 my mistake

If you were in the military or are in the military you can get a 15% discount from Minelab.

Being they are a brand new release and the very strong interest in them at the moment I doubt you will find many if any deals from dealers on them till they have been out for awhile.

The market will bear $800+

I have been dealing with the same guy for so long that when I call him, my only question is,, What is your bottom line are this machine??
I have purchased an Excalibur, XP DEUS, and a
CTX 3030 from him. He has always given me a great price. Always keep in mind that dealers have a low ball price that the manufacturer insists they not go below.

In the US, Federal Law means that the only restriction on minimum price from manufacturers is the enforcement of “Minimum Advertised Price” or “MAP”. If they give a lower price in writing to anyone, their dealer agreement can be terminated. The price that the actually agree to charge however can be whatever they want.
