12-7-11 70Th Anniv. of The Attack on Pearl Harbor 1941 Sixty degree temps here in Jersey during Dec are crazy 8) the old mill gave up some more good finds . Deer season is in full swing and I made it out of the woods alive . Geeezzz , Just when I'm finally getting some fairly good targets I have to worry about getting a round of buckshot in the you know what ! ::) NJ hunters are relatively sensible , not a problem with them . Wear something orange helps .. Thanks Nana , good advice . Nearby sawmill is loaded with iron relics from the early days . A lot of hand split , red cedar shingles were made here . Check out the sledge hammer head :o that was one hard workin' dude swinging that sledge ! Log splitting tools and a log dog for rolling and pulling them . The chime bell was deep , about a foot . 8) 2 Harness bosses , bottom one is from earlier thread , same site . Sling buckle ( Thanks for the id , Steve PA ) The large coppers keep on coming from the same area used to load product from these sites . KG III , a heart breaker Liberty Cap HC , rough shape :( , and the last of the hunt , 1762 Hibernia . That's about it , Hope to get a few more finds from South Jersey for 2011 , or maybe not . Enjoy and Thanks for stopping in , 8) :icon_sunny: dawg

That old mill still has a lot of life in her! That is a nice variety of relics and coins - some nice iron tools, some coppers, an iron sling buckle, and some of those decorative pieces with the two holes (I like finding those, they always have a neat design).

Nice digs Dawg. Thats a heck of a spot your working there. :icon_thumright:

You got some oldies there!

... it is a blessing , there are not many private property places that are accessible . Many landowners are afraid of liability :-\ ??? :evil5:
