Hi people.
Living in a coastal area I'm an avid beachcomber. So on holidays I always make long walks on the beaches picking up lots of junk...erm I mean "treasures" that I take home to sort out, haha.
A couple of years ago I found this bottle, half burried with an entourage of other bottles and light bulbs on a sandy beach on a greek island. It is about 15cm (6 inches) high.

Almost pristine condition, except for the aluminum cap/seal that has had some wave and beach wear.
Could this be a nursing bottle for farm animals? I guess the white powdery stuff inside is powdered milk, right? Or is this some kind of vintage infusion?

Anybody out there that knows what this is?
No other markings beside the logo and the gradation. The logo reads "UPR".

Any info will be appreciated.

Thanks for the kudos - it was a fun search and glad I could help

I got to thinking why the D in UDR (Usines du Rhone) looks like a P, and the best explanation I could come up with is that the D might be a stylistic use of the French pharmaceutical symbol of a snake wrapped around a glass as shown below. The most common French pharmaceutical symbol seen today is a green cross, but they also incorporated the snake in many instances.

Notice that the D on this (Usines du Rhone) after shave bottle has what looks like a hook (snake tail?) on the bottom of the D
