First milk bottle patent was issued in the 1880's. Pasteurization was not invented until 1895. Then in late 1930-40's the square bottle with pyroglaze lettering became popular. If you see a seem in the glass running from the base all the way to the top,,, its after 1915 give or take. If it stops an inch or two down its older.

They were established in 1929. The only reference (without picture though) which had a matching description of the embossed variety from this dairy said it was from the 30's... which would have been my guess as well.

For value, it doesn't hurt to do the free trial thing at Worthpoint, so long as you cancel it before they charge you (which I found easy enough to do at one point)

You have been extremely helpful! I signed up for my free trial at Worthpoint. My mother recently and unexpectedly passed away, so my brother and I were volunteered the task of preparing her house (our childhood home) to sell, which entails cleaning out the entire home and three huge out buildings.... We have stumbled upon quite a few "treasures" that are old... Older than she (64)... So I'm hopeful between y'all fellow "hunters" expertise and worthpoint, I'll find out if our buried treasures are, in fact, treasures, or another item added to the yard sale boxes.

Thanks so much!!,
