yes they did use both types of snaps..and a couple of other types of fasteners...
but..this one has both snaps shown...it is the color and weave of that bag that has me :icon_scratch:

Looks to me, like someone made up a medical kit from civilian items. That bag looks to be an old Kodac Camera bag.

The Benzedrine was used into the early fifties. My dad used them in the Korean War. But I am thinking that if they were US issued medicines they would have more markings stating such. The bag looks military only in constuction. Genuine US gear was ink stamped with "US' and other identifiers.
