I had a great hunt with my wife and friend Brandon. It was Brandon’s first time ever metal detecting and he managed not only his first old coin find he also got a large cent spill. On top of that he got into the 1800’s. Not bad for a first time. Me and Sam found lots of random finds but the top 2 for us have to be the silver locket and the military buckle. Thanks for looking and yes if anyone’s curious my wife was the one that found the silver locket and not me! 😭😂

Great variety of age and type. Nice photos and description, too.
Nice to share the hunt with a little team. Only problem is the first-timer might be disappointed on a subsequent hunt when he doesn't do as well. Small problem though. I'm glad he, your wife and you had such a nice experience.

Luckily I got a text from him on his own and he found his first silver. A 1912 Newfie fish scale. I’d say he’s hooked for now but yes it won’t always be easy for him and that’ll be the test of if he sticks with it permanently or not. 👍
