Back in 2010 I purchased my Fisher F4. I had grandiose ideas of finding the big loot! LOL As it turned out life made changes for me that prevented me from getting serious with MD. Now that I am closer to retirement and sitting around in the house this winter feeling like I am under house arrest, my mind turned back to MD. So here I am.
I had problems getting use to the F4 and the sensitivity. In most cases it was lack of experience and when using the F4. I was digging up more dirt and not finding anything. After continued research and reading other posts I realized that a pinpointer might be beneficial when detecting. So I just purchased a Mini Lab pinpointer.
I also found a group/club here in St.Louis that does MD. I figure between the forums that I belong especially this one I might become more successful.
As you might see by my handle, I ride a motorcycle. It is a HD 2012 Heritage Softail. I like to travel all of the back roads and enjoy the scenery. Many times on my rides I think to myself there are places that might good for doing MD. Since the equipment does not take up much room it is easy to pack and ride. Plus save gas!
My other interest is hand guns and target practicing. Unfortunately ammo is scarce so I don't do that much anymore.
What I liked about this site is there is a section for those by state. I find that really cool!
If anyone out there has been using the Fisher F4 I would like to hear from them.
So greetings to everyone and hope it will be a good year for you!
