Nice find and yes I can see the smile!

She is smiling, because you saved her life ! She was suffocating underneath all that dirt.

That sure is one happy Indian!! Nice finds!

I can't believe you were in there at midnight :laughing7:
Did you do any barrel rolling?

I got about 90 minutes in last night to expand the mound by barrel rolling. The full moon helped quite a bit. 3 more flat buttons from this site and a couple more miner/farm tags. One of the tags (in the dark) looked just like a copper. Took my camera out, documented the moment, then cleared some dirt off the "coin" and the big tag hole appeared, darn... This is the first IHP from this site, about 10' from where the Nova popped out. I saw your weed wacking pole, trust me, barreling is easy, give it a try... just takes some balance and making sure the barrel does not roll over you while you are digging...

I only took one swing with the broom stick. Didn't touch the barrel. Just stuck the bare spots and the cleared spots.

She must have been tired of holding her typical stoic profile pose (attached stock pic of IHP). I've dug many coins that were toasted or worn, but my first with a transformed smiley personality...

look's like she is smelling some good ' Green Leaf '..

love those night time hunts

Nice hunt for anytime of day.

How Cold was it Last Night? The Waning Super Moon Helps A-lot.

It was about 35 degrees when I started, the barrel rolling technique keeps your blood pumping, so did not feel cold at all.

Congratulations on the nice relic and coin recoveries! :occasion14:
