All Ya'all from the south know that anything that follows "Bless Your Little Heart" may or may not be something nice... In this case, is was nice! I got a sharp chirp and a 56 VDI in a tot lot at a local school and kicked the bark out of the way. There sat a tiny sterling silver heart pendant (or charm) with the letter "B" on it. It is the smallest sterling item that I have found so far, and I will take it. Check out the comparison to the smallest coin in the USA, a dime...
I also scored two more kiddie rings, one a monogrammed "I". I haven't found any monogrammed rings before this week, and now I have two from different schools! They appear to be older too. I also dug a lighthouse-themed pendant.
The "Oh wow, thank you Lord" moment came at the end of my hunt at a school that I have HIT HARD already... I got a nice, solid, repeatable 68 VDI on the ATPro while swinging under a shade tree on the school yard. I dug three inches to reveal a beautiful, large, gold ring. It is a United Airlines President's Club membership ring, marked 10K, and the owner's first initial and last name. The ring appears to have a black onyx stone mounted in it. It weighs in at a hefty 16.8 grams! It is in excellent shape too, a bonus. I will try to locate the owner via social media and other sources and see if I can return it.
Thanks for peeking! It was a good day in my books. Today's additions bring my ring count up to 15 for the month of May. I wish all of my TNet friends a safe Memorial Day weekend. Sub
