Michigan to OHIO

There was a lot of action along the shores of Lake Erie during the war of 1812, also a lot of ships sunk off the shore.? There's supposed to have been a British ship that wrecked 15 mi South of Toledo and they buried gold and silver coins somewhere on shore.? I think if you hit any of beaches from Toledo on down to Cleveland you stand a chance of finding something.? Also a lot of Indian activity in that area, and of course swimmers. Just remmeber I get half of your find. Just kiddin.? Good luck.

Cool, thanks for the help. Now my husband is saying he wants to travel up the other direction so we might head over to Milwaukee - but I'll do the same thing and hit some beaches along the way of course ;)

I use to live in Toledo from 1992 to 1998 and there are lots of old schools and parks there. Also lots of swimming holes on Lake Erie. I would take Rt 2 out of Toledo to Cleveland as opposed to the turnpike, there are lots of small communities along the way with old schools and stuff. Good Luck
