Holy Moly!
Got me a sweet permission, been drooling over this place for years.... shooting for coins, got 5 wheats, and a 17-S Merc:headbang:

Took a while, but I found the old clothesline.... then this beauty pops out.

At first, I just found the bottom half, eyesight not so good, but realized the holes meant there was maybe more to the story.
Same hole, but deeper, I fished out the top half..... and in great shape!

So from 1910 to 1919 the US and Mexico were going at it, and President Wilson called in the National Guard..... this one is from Georgia, I’ve found images from other states, but not this one,

Also scored a 1955 Dog Tag, and this other pin.... it’s got a fleur di lis on it.... and some Latin writing on the bottom that I can’t makeout.
I’ve seen this pin before, but can’t remember what it is....any help?

Finally, got me a St. Christopher Medallion, it’s prolly from the 1940’s, based on the reverse images.

It must be 'year end's' awards time LOL

That is a great piece of history , seem 's like something I'd 'Hope' to come across one day. 'Wish I could detect old closed Fort MacFearson .

Congratz on the Banner I love it.

Looks like that property was worth the wait

Thanks Bud.....yeah this was a pretty random find

Of course, I'm late to the party. I still wanted to congratulate you on a wonderful relic recovery and on your new Banner. It's awesome how the dime is the same year. Congrats to you Mister.

Hate to admit it, but the dime was a winner, real nice, till I rubbed the dirt across her face.... sucks to see where a gave her scratches with my thumb, not the Lesche.
Not just another Merc.:BangHead:

I feel ya BWD.
I now in an OCD manner handle my coins like explosives when in the field and at home . After scratching up my first Barber Dime in 1999. Tho most of the damage was done at the house.

Sweet finds. Congrats. :icon_thumleft:

Now that's an unusual piece of history!

Congratulations on achieving your second BANNER on Tnet Dave! :occasion14:
What a great hunt with incredible finds... bet you wish every hunt was this productive.

Hope you're able to get back and save more of Florida's history!

Dave
