Sorry, I know that it seems a bit off topic but the Giants win World Series!! :hello2: First time they did it in SF & the last time they did it was in New York 1954. They said on a show about it that gas in 1954 costed 21 cents per gallon. It's interesting since a gallon of gas around here goes for $3.15/gal. If you had 21 cents in 1954 money (i.e. 2 1954 Roosevelt Dimes & 1 1954 wheat), the value would be about the same as it would be now if you sold the two Roosies and wheat. It's amazing how metal prices stay about the same while paper money becomes more and more worthless over time.

True that! Go Giants! They needed a break after such rough decades. I'v never seen so much spirit for them! Your right about metal prices in coins then.
