✅ SOLVED Metal handle

Foundling this in Massachusetts in a river which go thru a revolutionary era area
I think it might be a handle to a stove flue damper ...its heavy piece and has not been cleaned
There are no house near where it was found and just outside of historical land boarder where detecting is not prohibited...if it's anything cool would like to give it to the historical society in that area ..thank you for your help

Although that is not even remotely what I thought it was ... especially a vehicle door handle...

I would have to say that was it.

I have seen something else in past that really resembles this... but no matter... I would call this solved.
