I love my Garret machines....but i highly recommend you look at the Teknetics Eurotek pro. It cant be beat for the money, very simple to use and light. Sales new for a little over 200 bucks...

I have to agree. You can find a Euro Tech Pro for $160 used very occasionally. The regular Eurotech sales for about $160 new. Probably any of the Teknetics would be good machines and in your price range. I have a Pro for people to use and I upgraded it with a NEL coil.

Thanks for the onsite. I'll take a look at them.

Look at the At Pro. It's like the 350 in standard coins mode but when she gets comfortable with it you can go to the pro mode and really hit deep stuff. Also you can totally submerse it in water so its good for water hunting. I love mine. Good luck on the hunt

here's a couple to consideration, Tesoro silver max, and Fisher F2. The Fisher is cheaper about 200 Dollars and they are both lite weight no more then 2 and a half pounds. Don.

I don't like the feel of the ace250 feels very toy like.

My wife swings a delta 4000. She's a digging fool. We've had to get another pinpointer. She's starting to get particular with her tools...
