Hi so far i have in excess of 300 permission slips signed.
The one i posted was from another member here on Tnet
that he has altered from just being a General Permission Form

X-Terra,
That was my permission form. I sent it to you awhile back. I used it and had my first permission w/in a few days. It's a 1779 plantation house that I am now MDing at, and am set for most of the year now. Here's the link to my new spot:

As I mentioned before, the flyer comes in a protective plastic sleeve with a self-addressed stamped envelope and a "YES" / "NO" card that is returned in the envelope.
Does it work? Yes. I got two out of five back as "YES". That's enough to keep me hunting for a long time, since these are large properties.
I've also tried the face to face approach MANY times. That method may work sometimes, but you'll get just as many "NO's".
Some folks feel intimidated or cornered when you approach them in person, which will lead to a "NO" response. They don't like having to make a quick decision on the spot. Once in awhile you'll get lucky and run across a friendly interested person that will grant you permission.
At least with the flyer they have time to read it, consider it, and return it hassle-free if interested.
When I personally get flyers on my mailbox I at least look them over just like everyone else does. If it's for a service I'm interested in then of course I will keep it. If not, I chuck it.
Let's face it, not all of us are great salesman that can pull off a face to face with a property owner. Some are even afraid to go up and even try.
Both methods have pros & cons. Both methods work sometimes and also fail sometimes. It's that simple.
