Those are nice gloves, & very similar to what I've been using, however, Saturday, while hunting & digging at an old homestead, while I was reaching in my plug to remove soil, I got ahold of some sharp glass that went right through my glove & cut me just a bit. I would recommend some tougher leather gloves after my experience. If you're gonna spend $20, leather is the way to go!!

I never wear gloves. I let my probe and spade do the digging and extraction work. AFTER I see the target, I pick it up. I got this way because of the fish hooks at the beach. At the beach ,I scoop and shake to find targets. Frank

Nomex flight gloves. Fit great, durable and flexible.

I use gloves but I don;t know the name of them. They have a rubber coating on them that help keep your hands dry. I get them in the sporting good department at Walmart. They are less that $3 and they last me a couple of years......Matt

Hey Matt... send us a picture of those... I'd like to see what they are...

I have bought gloves of all kinds none last long enough... 6 months at the most... for comfort and flexibility I have been buying these $5 ones from Walmart... but they do not protect the finger tips... but they are mostly to protect against stickers and sharp rocks I try to avoid digging with my hands.. out here in Texas the ground is so dry you need gloves to protect your hands. The dry dirt sucks out any moister it come into contact with which mean your skin... so gloves IMO are a must!

Since I hunt in the woods, and only use a Gator Digger for digging, I wear old bicycling gloves that have gel padding in the palm, which prevent blistering from the digging. In cold weather I slip a pair of cheap thin gloves over top of the bike gloves to keep the othewise exposed fingers warm and allows poking through the dirt without getting the fingers dirty. If I did not use the gel padded gloves, I would be guaranteed to have blisters on the palm of the hand, just one hard dig thru roots would do it.

I always wear gloves when I'm detecting. I am in the appliance repair business and I use these safety gloves recommended for appliance repair and handling. They come in 3 sizes 8,9 and 10 under Whirlpool/Maytag part no's 20001133,20001134 and 20001135 respectively. They cost around 10 to 12 dollars. I am by them like my propointer, won't leave home without them.

I may be bias from my carpentry days, but I only use Ironclad and I love them.

I wear my scuba diving gloves but baseball batting gloves work good too. :icon_pirat:

I use inexpensive gloves I get at Wal-Mart. They are cloth backed with rubber palms and inside the fingers. You still have a lot of feel and I haven't been cut by glass. I did get a glass cut when I didn't wear gloves! Monty

I like my "Mechanix" gloves, they are sold at most hardware and auto parts stores for around $20. They have different styles and thicknesses and are available in about any color.

I use these as well. I got the $30 pair from Lowes and love them. The cheaper ones I have purchased tend to fall apart quickly! The $30 pair are holding up so far, plus they look cool and protect my knuckles well. I also ordered a pair of Nomex Flight Gloves as recommended in this thread.
