Merorite-found near Edwards AFB

This metorite is magnetic,it throws a compass off course,and you cannot cut it.well maybe with a diamond saw,special blade,which I dont have. It weighs more than it looks. Also has been shaved on 2 sides,like someone was taking specimans off of it ,or it was being used for some purpose.

More photos,does anyone know how to determine values mine also shows evidence of gold and silver,but has not been tested.

google meteorites for sale or wanted.......the prices for just a slice of one are astronomical................

Mine also has gold/silver in it, though I sent some pics away to a website for identification and he said it was a slag. :'(

Have a look at mine - Toms Meteorite, they look the same.
 

Hello, looks to me like you have an Iron meteorite. Look at the lines it makes when it is polished, I see lines all around in there.

This strongly resembles a shell fragment. Very Similar to fragments found in France.

Did you say it was found near an AFB? If its the one in Austin, you should know, no iron meteorites have been found in Travis county.
 

From what I have read, a sure test is that a meteorite will be attracted to a magnet. If it is not, then it is not a meteorite.
 

they may have dropped it while moving the stuff from erea 51........lol
